After joining Mitsui Trust Bank (now Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank), she engaged in financial research at domestic and international financial institutions and rating agencies. Ranked first in the Japanese bank sector of the Global Analyst Rankings by Institutional Investors (now Extel) in 2014, among other top placements. Serves as a member of the government’s Subcommittee for Promoting Japan’ Growth Strategy and Asset Management, the Fiscal System Council, and the National Strategic Special Zones Advisory Council; also serves as a Board Member of Hitotsubashi University and a Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Research in Finance, the University of Tokyo. Earned a B.A. in Literature from the University of Tokyo, an MBA from London Business School, and a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from Hitotsubashi University.
